A Celebration of Life for Rita Joyce Carlile was held at 10:00 AM CT on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Faith SW Methodist Church, 4415 Wesley Drive, Amarillo, Texas. Rev. Dr. Mark Welshimer officiated.
A visitation was held Friday, September 11, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive, Amarillo.
Remembering Rita
Rita Joyce Carlile, 89, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026. She taught in Amarillo for 30 years. She is survived by her husband, Carl Carlile, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage, and by their sons Roger and Jeff.
